Exam Papers for the 2004 April Semester
The papers of the exam held in August 2004 are available in print and online. Go to E-Library Home Page > Reserve Collection. Log in with your user ID and password, then key in your course code to search.

Database Upgrade

Health & Wellness Resource Center (Gale)

Replaces Health and Reference Center Academic. This database aims to be a one-stop shop providing access to health-related articles and information from over 700 health/medical journals, reference books such as PDR Family Guides, Gale encyclopedias, and other publications.

Databases with new databases providers:

Cochrane Library (New Provider: Wiley InterScience)

Consists of abstracts and full-text articles on up-to-date information about healthcare interventions and healthcare related issues. It is designed to provide information and evidence to support decisions taken in healthcare and to inform those receiving care.

MLA Bibliography (New Provider: EBSCO ¡V EBSCOHOST) Indexes articles, monographs, working papers, etc. pertaining to language and linguistics from nearly 4,000 journals and series dating back to 1963.  Articles are linked up to their full text, if available, in other databases on the EBSCOhost platform. This database also includes the MLA Directory of Periodicals.

To access, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "MLA Bibliography".

PsycINFO (New Provider: CSA)

Covers areas such as communication systems, developmental psychology, educational psychology, personality, social psychology.  This database sources articles from over 1,800 professional journals, books, reports and other related publications.

Extended Opening Hours during the Exam Period 

From 29th January to 27th February 2005 (except for 8th February), the Library will extend opening hour from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.  A seat reservation scheme will also be in effect on Saturdays, Sundays, and the Luner New Year holidays (Feb 9 to 11, 2005). Seat Reservation Tickets will be issued at the Library Entrance at 9:00 am on a first come first serve basis. Click here for details.

How to organize your Search Results in Library Catalogue (Web)

MyList enables you to select and save results when searching the Library Catalogue (Web). Just click on the Add to my list button on the record you want to keep. To view the list, click on the My List button on the top right corner of a page. You can also email your list to multiple email accounts. Click here for more information.

Reserve your book online in the Library Catalogue (Web)

If the General Collection items have been checked out by or on reserve for another user, you can reserve the item online. Click here for more information.

When the requested item becomes available, Library will email a pickup notification to your OUHK email account. You should collect the item within 2 weeks. A processing fee of $1.5 per item will be charged when you check out the item.

Featured Resources

Wisenews covers newspapers, magazines, journals and newswires focusing on the Greater China Area, with 20,000 articles received and processed daily. Sources include national and local newspapers from Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. You may find news articles from South China Morning Post to China Daily, from the Next Magazine to the Hong Kong Economic Journal.
