Lawyee.net upgrade

Lawyee.net contains judicial and legal information of mainland China. Now it has added in a new version so that searches and display can be in traditional Chinese characters. This helps Hong Kong users to easily find and access its 17,000 legal cases, over 80,000 entries of laws and regulations, and over 3,000 entries of judicial interpretations more accessible.

 

 

To access, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "Lawyee".

 

Featured Resources

Business Source Premier (BSP) hosts Harvard Business Review (1922 -), Economists (1990 -), MIT Sloan Management Review (2001 -), Accounting Review (1926 - ), Business week (1996 - ) among 7500 other periodicals and academic journals. It offers information in nearly every area of business including management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, and more.

 

Country Reports, company profiles, market research reports, SWOT analysis, and industry reports have been added to the content. You can click to choose these resources in the search result list.

 

 

To access, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "Business Source Premier"

 

 

 

 


Service Alerts

 

Internet stations upgraded to Windows XP

Some of the Internet stations located in the Library have been upgraded to Windows XP. These upgraded PCs have recorded faster response time and smoother print job processing. Try this out.

 

Additional Octopus-enabled photocopiers

Three more Octopus-enabled photocopiers are in service on the 1st floor.

 

Loan Period Extension for Active student taking OUHK Postgraduate Courses

Starting from April 1, 2005, active students taking OUHK postgraduate courses have the loan period extended from 14 days to 30 days. This will also apply to books renewed after that day.

 

"Books Recently Arrived"

Click on in the Library Catalogue (Web) to find out what print and electronic books that Library has recently made available for your use.
 

Library Guides Update

The Library Guides section in the E-Library has been reorganized to ease your access.

 

 

Take note of the Subject Guides, which not only list out useful resources on main subjects, but also link you direct to the Library Catalogue and the resources. You can find out the location of or access the resources at one stop.

 

For students who are new to the Library, you will find useful information by visiting Electronic Library homepage > Library Guides > Library Services > Library Tips for New Semester. The tips includes answers to some most commonly asked questions like "How to renew a book?", "What is my user ID and password?" and others.

 

Arrivals of Set Textbooks for April 05 Semester

Set textbooks for the April 05 semester are ready for your use in Library. You can find the print copy in the Library Circulation Counter. For set textbooks in electronic format, please go to E-Library > E-text Centre > Browse > Collections>  By Formats > Set Textbooks.

 

 

CSA Illumina is the new platform for databases including PsycINFO, Environmental and Pollution Management, Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts, and Sociological Abstracts. It provides easy cross-database searches, advanced searches, flexible search limits, improved display and more content of search results, and more.

To access, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "CSA".
