New Resource:

China Proceedings of Conference Database (CPCD) 中國重要會議論文全文數據庫

The series on conference papers is newly available in E-Library in April 2006. CPCD puts conference proceedings from government departments and research institutes in China from 1999 to present.

  

 

 

To access, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "cpcd".

  

Database enhancement:

EBSCOHost provides results limiting function

On the search result screen, suggested subject terms to narrow the result are displayed in the left column.

 

 

To access, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "ebsco".  

  

Database enhancement:

Author Profile in ABI/INFORM Complete

Users may see a logo placed beside the name of selected Authors. Clicking on this logo will bring up a page with the authors' information such as author's web page, email address, affiliation, research interests.

Journals:
Library provides many of the journals mentioned in your course materials.  Examples are:

China Journal Net covers many journals in Chinese. 

SpringerLink is a good source of business journals. At the SpringerLink Home Page, scroll down > click on “Browse by Online Libraries”, and then choose “Business and economics”.

 

Books:
Users can type in keywords in the Library Catalogue to search for books on various business topics available in the Campus Library.

E-Text Centre Enhancement

On March 1, the "Enhanced OU Viewer" was announced to replace "OU Viewer 0.3.0". This e-book viewer is used to view the "OUHK Collection " e-books (e-books with the logo) in the E-Library > E-text Centre.

 

  

 

When viewing "OUHK Collection" e-books for the first time, you may be prompted to install additional components. Please follow the on-screen instructions. Click here for further details.

 

An improved E-Text Centre Full-text Search is also available to find words and phrases contained in the 15,000+ "OUHK Collection" e-books.

 

 

This search engine is considerably fasters than the previous version and supports direct linking to e-books pages that contain the searched words.
