New Resource:

Access to 400+ full-text journals from Wiley InterScience

Users can now access the full-text content of 400+ journals from Wiley InterScience. Titles includes Strategic Management Journal, Bell Labs Technical Journal, Environmental Toxicology, Journal of research in Science Teaching, and Journal of Community Psychology.

Both Wiley InterScience and SprinkerLink add over 1800 high-quality full-text journals to E-Library to support your study and research in business, science & technology, social sciences, education studies, and health-related topics.

To access Wiley InterScience, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "wiley interscience".

To access SpringerLink, go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "springerlink".

New Resource:

Europa World provides country based economic and political information

Europa World provides detailed country profiles (social, economic, and political information and statistics) and organization information as the Europa World Yearbook does. In addition, it allows users to select and generate comparative statistics among countries, and provides full-text search.

To access Europa World, go to go to Electronic Library > Electronic Resources > Keyword Search > type in "europa world".

Service Alerts

Library Catalogue (Web & Telnet) adds "No. of Holds" display

Effective from June 21, 2006, the Library Catalogue (Web & Telnet) displays the total “number of holds” placed per Library item in the full bibliographic screen, and the “Items Out” and “Holds” screens of the Borrower Record. Users should find this information helpful when placing holds on or renewing items.

Extended Opening Hours during the Exam Period

From July 22 to August 23, 2006, the Library will have the extended opening hour from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. A seat reservation scheme will also be in effect on Saturdays and Sundays. Seat Reservation Tickets will be issued at the Library Entrance at 9:00 am on a first-come-first-served basis.

Exam Papers for the 2005 October Semester
Past papers of the February 2006 exam, those provided to Library, are now available in print and online. Go to E-Library Home Page > Reserve Collection. Log in with your user ID and password, then key in your course code to search.

Featured Resource: China Academic Journal

China Academic Journal (CAJ) is a key provider of academic content published in Mainland China. The Library subscribes to two CAJ databases: China Journal Net (CJN) and China Proceedings of Conference Database (CPCD).

Economics, Politics & Law

Education & Social Science

Most of the articles are in Chinese and full-text. Journal of Peking University - Philosophy and Social Sciences (「北京大學學報-哲學社會科學版」), Research On Education Tsinghua University (「清華大學教育研究」), Social Sciences In China (「中國社會科學」) are some of the journals covered.

　 China Proceedings of Conference Database 中國重要會議論文全文數據庫(CDCP) contains conference papers and proceedings from government departments and research institutes in China from 1999 to present. A broad range of topics are covered including Business, Environmental Sciences, Education, Social Sciences and so on.
