Hot Topic: Financial Crisis
While the world is watching how US President Obama leads the way out from the serious recession, UK Government is planning the next funding in the bailout of troubled banks. In Mainland, Guangdong's provincial government will set up funds to support manufacturers and exporters. Survival in financial crisis is still the hottest topic in 2009. Then how can HK Government facilitate the economy and return our vitality? How to cure the "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" after the global financial crisis? How to gain back the trusts from the laymen who are feeling so scary by the shrinking MPF balance? Hopefully, the answers can be found in 2009.
For news coverage of the incidents, check out WiseNews for articles mainly in Chinese. Use Factiva to find related coverage in major English media.
More studies and research on banking, financial economics, investment markets, securities business, monetary policy and public finance can easily be located in ABI/INFORM Complete, Business Source Premier, China Academic Journals (Economy and Management), International Financial Statistics, SourceOECD, Thomson One Banker Analytics, ... etc.To access these databases, go to Electronic Library > E-Journals & Databases > type in the name of database, then search.

Quiet place for study
To most of the users, the library is a quiet place perfect for reading and studying. Especially during examination period, one-minute whisper is already an annoyance to other users. Talking to mobile phones and group discussion are not allowed in the reading areas of the Library. We need your co-operations to make the Library a better place. Please be considerate!Rename of OUHK Library
In recognition of Dr. Stanley Ho's generous donation towards the development of the University's phase II campus extension, the OUHK Library will be renamed to Stanley Ho Library effective from February 2, 2009.
