Wanfang Data
Looking for full-text Chinese journal articles and dissertations related to Business, Law, Politics or Social Science? In addition to China Academic Journal, China Doctoral/Masters' Theses Full-Text Database provided by CNKI, Wanfang Data is a useful resource for you. The Library has recently subscribed to the China Online Journals (COJ) and Dissertations of China (DOC) of Wanfang Data. Our users can now have access to full texts of the following series:
COJ (full-text access from 1998 - present):
- Business/Economic Series
- Philosophy/Law/Politics Series
- Social Sciences Series
DOC (full-text access from 2004 - present):
- Managerial Science Series
To access Wanfang Data, go to Electronic Library > E-Journals & Databases > type in "Wanfang Data"

Resources Updates
Wiley Online Library
Wiley InterScience, a journal platform, has been renamed to Wiley Online Library. Users can search for journal titles related to Finance, Management, Marketing, Languages, Psychology, etc. The Library subscribes to the Social Science and Humanities Series which contain a collection of more than 400 full-text journals covering Politics, History, Philosophy,Education disciplines.
To access Wiley Online Library, go to Electronic Library > E-Journals & Databases > type in "Wiley Online Library"
Featured Services
Library Catalogue
A new interface of Library Catalogue was launched in July 2010. You can do online search of library materials, renewal and reservations of books via the Library Catalogue. Students, staff and tutors are now able to login to their borrower's record with the OUHK user ID and single password.
To access, please go to the E-Library > Library Catalogue > OUHK Library Catalogue

Hands-on practice for finding set textbooks, reference materials and past exam papers
Methods to access Electronic Library from home or office

Data Privacy
The sale of personal data of cardholders to third parties by the Octopus Holdings aroused public awareness of the issue of data privacy. People are concerned about how their personal data could be protected under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and are reminded to handle private data carefully.
For news coverage of data privacy, check out WiseNews for newspaper articles and magazines published in HK, China and Taiwan. Use Factiva to find related coverage in major English international media.
To look for legislation related to data privacy, you may access to the full-text legal database Lawinfochina which provides Chinese laws and regulations and judicial cases of China. Westlaw International, on the other hand, covers the jurisdictions of Hong Kong, United Kingdom, United States, European Union etc.
Service Alerts
Using OUHK ID cards to get entry to the Library
The Library would like to remind users to use their valid OUHK Identity Card to gain entry through the Library's Access Control System. Library staff may refuse entry if users cannot produce a proper University ID or establish their bona fide identity.
Quiet place to study
The Library is a place for you to read and study. Users are reminded to keep quiet in the Library! Talking to mobile phones and group discussion are not allowed in the reading areas of the Library. We need your co-operations to make the Library a better place. Please be considerate!
A User Education Campaign will be launched from 4 October 2010 to 15 October 2010. Leaflets will be distributed at the Library entrance with an aim to promote a quiet and pleasant environment conducive to user's research and study.
Proper use of internet stations
The internet stations in the Library aim to offer access to the subscribed or selected free electronic resources related to your learning and study. Users are reminded that the internet stations shall be used for academic purpose only.
