Library Orientation Workshops (September 2015)

At the start of the new semester, would you like to know how the library can help you with your study? A number of Library Orientation Workshops will be organized in September 2015. In the workshop, you will know about:

  • The Library's collection, facilities and your loan privileges;
  • How to search library's resources via E-Library; and
  • Points to note when accessing E-Library from home or office.

There will be hands-on practice on finding books and reserve materials, e.g. exam papers, during the workshop. What's more, our library staff will show you around the Stanley Ho Library after each session of the workshop.

Registration is required. Please select the session you want to join and click "Register" to enrol for the workshop!

New Features in E-Library

Citation Feature

To find some help with referencing, the new citation feature in E-Library may be one of the options. You can choose to generate a citation of a selected record directly, or export the record details to EndNote or other citation management software.

To generate a citation for a title you have found in the E-Library, click the "Details" tab under the title, then select "Citation" under "Action". Currently, the service provides three commonly used citation styles, namely APA, MLA and Chicago/Turabian.

Similarly, click "EndNote" or "RIS" if you wish to export the record details. You may need to register and log in to the citation management software separately.
