To access the above databases or to find more databases, please visit the E-Library website (www.lib.ouhk.edu.hk) and type in the name of the databases under "Library Holdings", then click "Search".

New E-Library Service: bx Scholarly Article Recommender Service The Library has launched a new service ‘bX Scholarly Article Recommender Service’ — A service that helps the users to discover articles potentially relevant to their interest. It provides recommendations of related articles when you check an article from the E-Library’s search results, based on the usage data of other users around the globe. To use this service, simply go to E-Library. Type in a keyword under the ‘Articles’ tab and then click ‘Search’. The link ‘Recommendations’ will be displayed at the bottom of individual search result if bX has identified other articles related to it.
By clicking the link ‘Recommendations’, you will find a list of recommended articles that users also accessed when they checked this result. To view more recommended articles, click ‘View More’. You may click the title of a recommended article to check if a full-text is available.
If you wish to learn more about the bX Recommender service, you may watch the video ‘bX article recommender plain and simple’ A new feature in E-Library, "Times Cited" shows the number of times a selected article has been cited and provides access to the full-text of citing articles.
Simply click the link "Times cited" to see how many times the article was being cited. Click the "View Citation" link will connect you to the full-text citing articles via Scopus.
When you need to link or embed an article found in the E-Library for future reference, you can make use the "Permalink" feature in the E-Library to do so. Under the article, click "Details", then select "Permalink" under "Action".
A permalink will then be generated automatically.

Library Orientation Workshops (Spring Term 2015) Do you know the library can help you with your study in many ways? A number of Library Orientation Workshops will be organized in February 2016. In the workshop, you will know about:
There will be hands-on practice on finding books and reserve materials, e.g. exam papers, during the workshop. What's more, our library staff will show you around the Stanley Ho Library after each session of the workshop. Registration is required. Please select the session you want to join and click "Register" to enrol for the workshop!
Participants in previous workshops expressed that they found the workshop was useful and gave us comments such as
"(the workshop) can assist us on doing assignment" and "(learnt how to) find useful resources faster and easier ".

We have prepared a short video introducing our physical libraries, and also demonstrations on our E-Library services. Spend a few minutes on our videos and you will find yourself getting familiar with our facilities and services. Online Book Recommendation Service Would you like to recommend books to the Library? The Library has launched a new Online Book Recommendation Service for OUHK staff and active students to submit book recommendations for Library purchase. To submit your recommendations, please go to the Electronic Library > Forms > Online Book Recommendation Service, fill in the recommendation details and click “Submit”, your recommendations will be reviewed and follow up.
Rejuvenating Stanley Ho Library To enhance the study and learning environment for library users, the Stanley Ho Library will undergo a rejuvenating project in 2016. The project was started with replacing all the tables and chairs in late January. You may check the progress of the project by clicking here. Hope you like the new look of Stanley Ho Library.

The Most Popular E-Books in 2014 Last time, we have reviewed our most popular databases and e-journals in 2014. How about e-books? Usage of the Library’s e-books has nearly doubled in 2014 with a total of 245,288 requests at title, section or chapter level. Among the top ten titles, most of the Chinese e-books were related to nursing while accounting, management, business and marketing titles in English have been heavily used.
