At the Inauguration Ceremony for new full-time undergraduate students on 14 Sep, President Prof. Paul Lam encouraged the freshers to take advantage of the numerous extra-curricular activities on offer at HKMU to earn lifelong skills and get prepared for an exciting career ahead.

On 9 Sep, the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration organized the ‘Metropolitan CHRO Hong Kong Forum: New Talent, New Paradigm and New Era’, drawing over 200 practitioners and academics to participate in-person or online.

Back in 2019, the School of Science and Technology received a HK$9.3 million grant from the Research Grants Council in support of the establishment of University Research Facilities (URF) for basic and applied research on coastal wetlands in the Greater Bay Area. This year, on 3 Sep, a Seminar on Coastal Wetland Research and Management at the University brought together experts in the field to provide updates on their work.

The University presented over HK$13 million to 1,311 students at the 2020/21 Scholarship and Bursary Awards Presentation on 27 Aug. Among them, 590 received scholarships and 721 bursaries.
