Alumnus Calvin Wong Kwun-lun, former SU President of the University, has generously donated HK$10,000 to set up the 'Mr and Mrs Calvin Wong Scholarship'. An annual award of $10,000 will be awarded to an outstanding full-time student of the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Chinese programme.

Alumna Poon Ming-chu has produced a radio drama 'Community through the eyes of primary students' (小學生眼中的社區) with her friends. Primary students from schools across the territory were guided through the production process and contributed to copywriting and dubbing for the radio drama which will be broadcast at RTHK during Lunar New Year.
