Alumni as members

Learn about the types of membership and register as HKMUAA members to enjoy exclusive privileges!

Ordinary Member/ Life Ordinary Member: Graduates of any credit-bearing programmes offered at University proper are eligible to join as Ordinary Members of HKMUAA. Graduates who meet certain conditions approved by the Board of Directors can apply to be Life Ordinary Member.
Associate Member: Alumni who have obtained at least five credits from the University and have terminated studies for five consecutive semesters can apply to join as Associate Members.
Affiliated Member: Local alumni groups which desire to adopt the title of Hong Kong Metropolitan University must apply to join HKMUAA as Affiliated Members. For more details, please check the section on alumni groups.
Membership fee: Membership fee of Ordinary Member and Associate Member in this year will be HK$100 and there is no membership fee for Life Ordinary Member and Affiliated Member. A membership fee waiver is on offer from now until 31 December 2027.

How to join

Just a few simple steps to join HKMUAA:

1. Download HKMU Alumni+

If you are located outside of Hong Kong, we may not provide services to you or you may encounter difficulties accessing this mobile application.

2. Activate your alumni e-card

3. Register as HKMUAA member once you have activated the alumni e-card

4. Upon successful registration, an exclusive membership e-card will be given in the app

5. You can also click the icon of 'Become AA member' on the app to apply for membership anytime
