Biography
Man Tin's research investigates the theoretical and practical intersections of machine creativity and aesthetic philosophy within media art contexts. His work advances critical frameworks in computational aesthetics and digital art, examining the phenomenological dimensions of human-machine interaction through technological mediation.
Having earned a Master's Degree in Media Cultures from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, his research has been published in international journals and conferences focusing on digital creativity and intelligent systems. His work has been featured at prestigious events including Ars Electronica Festival, Kino Art Festival, PROTOYP Festival, and SidewalkCINEMA Festival, with exhibitions across Austria, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, and USA. As founder of PRÉCÉDÉE, he facilitates community dialogue through round-the-clock exhibitions in contemporary art context.
Currently an Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Metropolitan University, his professional affiliations include executive and committee roles in Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), Young Artists Development Foundation (YADF), Hong Kong Photographic Culture Association (HKPCA), and committee memberships in various international organizations including Chinese Digital Games Research Association (Chinese DiGRA), Czech Republic Center for Artificial Art Research (CAAR), and Sweden Föreningen Musikspektra T Society (FMT).
