This programme aims to broaden and deepen students’ understanding of economic science. . Graduates will achieve the ability to think critically in business/economic policy analysis. Upon graduation, students will have the ability to work at the managerial/ administrative level in business, banking and finance, education, government, as well as other non-profit making organizations.
Students pursuing this programme must successfully complete at least 120 credits as follows. Of the 120 credits required for the attainment of the degree, students can complete up to 40 credits of courses in Chinese.
(a) 50 credits from:

(b) 40 credits, of which at least 10 credits must be gained at Higher level, from courses:

| (d) an additional 20 credits from any courses at Foundation, Middle or Higher level offered by the University, provided that, of the total 120 credits, no more than 40 are gained at Foundation level. |
Choosing the first courses to get started
Students can choose one or more of the following courses to begin their study:
ECON A231 Introduction to Microeconomics
If students have already taken introductory microeconomics and introductory macroeconomics at the tertiary level, they can consider the following courses to get begin their study:
ECON A311 Intermediate Microeconomics
Students should consult the academic staff for course selection if they intend to apply for credit transfer from a recognized tertiary institution.
