This programme offers students a wide choice of study schemes covering different aspects of public administration. It is constructed around four major focus points: (1) the social sciences foundation of public administration; (2) the public and political context of public administration; (3) the management of government programmes; and (4) the management of human and financial resources in government and public organizations. This Honours programme enhances students’ research and practical skills, which in turn, will boost their competitiveness in today’s rapidly changing and increasingly interconnected world. The programme is designed to develop students into competent public administrators who can contribute to the running of government agencies, public organizations, social enterprises, and nongovernmental organizations.
Students pursuing this programme must successfully complete at least 160 credits as follows. Of the 160 credits required for the attainment of the degree, students can complete up to 50 credits of courses delivered in Chinese.

Note: SOSC A101 forms an excluded combination with SOSC A112C, SOSC A121C and SOSC A122C.
Students should consult the academic staff for course selection if they intend to apply for credit transfer from a recognized tertiary institution.
