The programme aims to provide quality education focusing on the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in various areas including business, management, sports and eSports. By combining multiple disciplines and offering a comprehensive work-based learning project, the programme prepares graduates for developing a career in the sports or eSports industries.
Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)
Explain and critically review business theories and concepts to identify issues, analyse situations, and develop solutions for multi-faceted problems in organisational settings.
Critically evaluate issues and make informed judgements in view of the organisation's strategies as well as ethical considerations.
Make meaningful contributions as a leader and member in a team setting and communicate effectively.
Command knowledge of the practices and activities of key aspects of athletic development, and sports and eSports management.
Integrate and apply advanced analytical skills to address issues and make decisions related to sports and eSports management.
Assimilate and synthesise new knowledge in athletic development and sports and eSports management, apply it to solve problems related to operation in sports and eSports facilities, and develop practical recommendations.
Admission Requirements
Applicants of Senior Year Entry to the programme must satisfy the following entry requirement:
AnAssociate Degree / Higher Diploma (or its equivalent) in a business-related discipline from a tertiary institution recognized by the University;
OR
AnAssociate Degree / Higher Diploma (or its equivalent) in a non-business related area from a tertiary institution recognized by the University upon completion of a bridging programme offered by HKMU.
Applicants are required to fulfill the English language requirements of the University and may be required to attend an admission interview and/or written test.
Programme Structure and Contents^
Students pursuing this programme must successfully complete 80 credits of courses.

^ Students may be required to complete a bridging programme which consists of selected foundation and/or middle level course(s) and/or a summer bridging course.
^ Students admitted via Year 3 entry in or after 2023/24 must complete the four University Core Values Modules, namely Core Value I (Integrity), Core Value II (Fairness), Core Value III (Perseverance), and Core Value IV (Innovation) for graduation.

In the era of globalization, business opportunities are inevitably increasing around the world. The School is committed to preparing students for the challenges in the international business environment. In view of this, a Global Immersion Programme will be held to provide students with opportunities to study and travel abroad, be exposed to the language of global business, engage with global issues and eventually become empowered global citizens. This programme is compulsory.
Undergraduate Global Immersion Programme
Being able to work effectively with foreigners and foreign organisations has become a very important contributor to career success in the internationalised economy. The Undergraduate Global Immersion Programme (UG-GIP) is designed to support B&A students in developing their potential in the internationalised environment. UG-GIP aims to instill in students a deeper understanding of a foreign culture and its society and environment, and expose students to a broader overview and understanding of international business.
For senior year entry students, UG-GIP comprises two non-credit bearing courses: BUS B083F (Year 3)*, and BUS B084F (Year 4). These courses are designed to enhance students' intercultural awareness and communication skills and help students to develop a global mindset. Details can be found here.
*BUS B083F includes a study tour. Students are responsible for incidental expenses such as airfare and accommodation.

Career Prospects
Graduates can seek employment in both traditional sports and fast growing eSports industries. The traditional sports industry involves national sports associations, non-government organisations, government departments, etc., whereas a growing number of job openings can be found in esports organisations which participate in professional leagues, organise competitions, create a livestream event, distribute their content to streaming platforms and/or provide advertising opportunities for other businesses. Opportunities in other industries will be opened up via the transferable skills offered by the programme including marketing, sports science, events managements, etc.
Further Studies
Opportunities are available for the graduates of this programme to pursue postgraduate studies in Hong Kong and abroad. Students may continue to study for a Master of Business Administration or other master's degrees in sport-related areas.
