Biography
Mr. Yam has extensive experience in teaching excellence, academic management and quality assurance in higher education. Before joining HKMU, he was the programme leader of two programmes at a leading self-financing institute where he oversaw multiple projects of programme accreditation and revalidation, new programme development and KPI management. In only a couple of years since he joined HKMU, He has made contributions to the University on a series of continuous improvement initiatives, namely academic development for new university, institutional review, institutional development funding, programme development and accreditation, on top of innovative teaching for sizeable lectures and interactive learning experience in classrooms and beyond.
With his continuous efforts on teaching excellence and student-centered pedagogies, Mr. Yam has received the President's Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching 2022 from the University.
