Biography

A senior finance professional with more than twenty years of hands-on experience in China's financial markets,  Dr. Yip has held key positions in corporate and investment banking at leading institutions, specializing in corporate finance and capital markets.

Dr. Yip holds advanced degrees from leading institutions: an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an LLM from UC Berkeley School of Law, a JD from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a PhD from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Selected Professional & Community Services

• Founder of the Sodata Analytics Foundation Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing ESG development in Hong Kong, Dr. Yip developed a big-data platform focusing on the ESG performance of Hong Kong-listed companies. The platform provides professional guidance on corporate social responsibility and helps foster an improved financing environment for NGOs. His research examines the impact of ESG factors on the financial performance and asset pricing of Hong Kong-listed firms. His work, including papers on ESG and corporate philanthropy, has been published in core finance journals.
