Biography

Dr. Louisa Yee Sum Lee is an Associate Professor and Outreach Coordinator, Office of Business Case Development at the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. She earned a Ph.D. in Tourism Management from James Cook University, Australia, and an M.Phil. and undergraduate degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Prior to academia, Louisa amassed industry experience at a leading business hotel in Hong Kong and the Pacific Asia Travel Association in Thailand, and provided consultancy for Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree, Australia. These roles shaped her research interests in tourist experiences and cultural heritage management, leading to high-impact publications in reputable journals and competitive research grants from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council.

From May 2024 to May 2025, Louisa served as a Visiting Academic Fellow at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. She is also an appointed member of the Travel Industry Authority, Hong Kong SAR.
