This programme helps students to develop an interdisciplinary perspective on the management of business organisations and a distinctive combination of skills, knowledge and understanding around financial and management accounting. On completion, graduates will be able to apply accounting techniques and concepts in the workplace and can seek employments as corporate accountants, or pursue careers in related fields such as banking and investments.
Students pursuing this programme must successfully complete at least 120 credit-units of which at least 24 credit-units should be taken at 3000-level and another 24 credit-units at 4000-level. Students are required to complete:
(a) 9 credit-units of University Core courses:
(b) 78 credit-units of Core courses:
(c) 18 credit-units of Accountancy Concentration Core courses:
(d) 9 credit-units of Accountancy Concentration Elective course:
(e) 6 credit-units, as necessary, from any English and/or Chinese 1000-level, 2000-level, 3000-level or 4000-level courses (other than ENGL 1101AED, ENGL 1202EED, ENGL 1101AEF, ENGL 1202EEF) offered by the University.

Students are required to complete 120 credit-units but they may opt to graduate with a lower qualification, Associate of Business [ABUS] (60 credit-units) after completing the required number of credit-units and fulfilling the requirements of the programme regulations. |
