Dr David TW Wong is currently an Assistant Professor in the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). Prior to joining HKMU, he served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). His research and teaching interests lie in supply chain management, innovation management, and information systems.

Dr Wong worked for 16 years at various international companies in Hong Kong and Shanghai, China. During his 5 years as Research Assistant Professor at PolyU, he published several papers on supply chain management, innovation management, and information systems in international journals, such as Journal of Product Innovation Management, Information & Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and Annals of Operations Research. Dr Wong also served as Principal Investigator on a PolyU Strategic Start-Up Fund project (completed in 2024) and as Co-Investigator on an Innovation and Technology Fund project for the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (completed in 2023) and a PolyU Fund project for the Research Centre of Textiles for Future Fashion.

During his 5 years at PolyU and 1 year as Lecturer at Saint Francis University (SFU), Dr Wong also taught undergraduate-level courses on management information systems, event marketing, marketing for hospitality, quality service management, organisational behaviour, brand management, and services marketing. His experience in international firms, his research experience, and his MBA training enable him to offer students valuable assistance with projects and assignments. Dr Wong was rated as outstanding during his service years at SFU and achieved an average rating of 4.3/5.0 during his service years at PolyU.
