Biography
Dr William Tang is currently Assistant Professor of the School of Education and Languages at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He obtained his doctoral and master’s degree in Information Technology in Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
He is the programme leader of Doctor of Education, Doctor of Education (Chinese) and Master of Education in Educational Technology and Innovation. Dr Tang has actively promoted Information Technology in Education by designing and teaching various Information Technology in Education training courses for pre-service and in-service teachers.
He has over fifteen years of experience in teacher education at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He was the recipient of OUHK President’s Awards for Teaching Excellence in 2018 and the winner of HKMU President's Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching in the academic year 2022/23.
His research interests lie in the area of information literacy and the application of information technology in education.
