In order to diversify and strengthen the financial support for research and development (R&D) in Hong Kong by joining hands with the private sector, the University Grants Committee of the HKSAR Government has launched a Research Matching Grant Scheme and set aside a total of HK$3 billion for application by local degree-awarding institutions.
The University seeks to further improve its research infrastructure and allocate more resources to strengthen its research capacity to foster research and academic collaboration with other institutions and organizations in the future.
