We would like to recognize their contributions to the open and innovative education.<\/p><p>The following information applies to the <b><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Student Paper Awards.<\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/p><ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><li>One<span style=\"color: #993300;\">\u00a0<strong><b>Best Student Paper Award<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>will be presented to the author(s) of the best student paper at ICOIE 2023.<\/li><li>Authors of other outstanding student papers may be presented an\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><b>Excellent Student Paper Award<\/b><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li><li>The author of paper must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to compete for the\u00a0<b><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Best Student Paper Award<\/span>\/<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: green;\">Excellent Student Paper Award<\/span><\/strong><\/b>.<br \/><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>The author must be a full-time student who is pursuing a postgraduate programme at a recognized academic institution.<\/li><li>The author must be the first author (and also the corresponding author) of a paper accepted for presentation at ICOIE 2023.<\/li><li>The author must have contributed to at least 80% for the paper.<\/li><li>The author must present the paper at the assigned paper session of ICOIE 2023.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The paper must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to compete for the\u00a0<b><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Best Student Paper Award<\/strong><\/span>\/<strong><span style=\"color: green;\">Excellent Student Paper Award<\/span><\/strong><\/b>.<br \/><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>The paper should have a good potential to make a significant contribution to open and\/or innovative education, and should be well written.<\/li><li>The paper has not been submitted for publication or has been accepted for publication elsewhere.<\/li><li>The author(s) must present the paper at the assigned paper session of ICOIE 2023.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>A selection panel for the awards will be established by the Organizing Committee of ICOIE 2023. This panel will consist of experts from the field.<\/li><li>Each paper being considered for the awards will be first evaluated by the Programme Committee of ICOIE 2023 and then by the Selection Panel of the Award.<\/li><li>\u00a0The evaluation criteria are:<br \/><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><u>The<em>\u00a0paper (75%)<\/em><\/u><br \/><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Significance: The potential contribution of the paper to the field with an emphasis on theoretical development and\/or educational practices.<\/li><li>Methodology: The extent to which the methods and approach are appropriate.<\/li><li>Originality: The extent to which the paper is innovative in terms of its sources of information, design, analysis and\/or discussion approach.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><u>Oral presentation (25%)<\/u><\/em><br \/><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>The quality of the presentation in terms of the content and effectiveness.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The winner will receive a certificate.<\/li><li>The winning author(s) may be invited to extend their papers and submit them for publication in an edited book or a special issue of refereed journals.<\/li><li>Financial support may be provided to sponsor paper awardees to publish papers in a special issue of a refereed journal.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"wavo-column-gap-default elementor-section
