With the account, a student can access a range of IT applications and services. The format of username is lower-case\u00a0<strong>\u201cs\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>+ the\u00a0<strong>first seven digits of your student number\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (e.g.\u00a0 s1234567)<\/strong>. You can use one Single Password for all HKMU online services. New student needs to <a href=\"https:\/\/www-uat.hkmu.edu.hk\/ito\/student-services\/single-password-management-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">create a new Single Password<\/a> in order to activate the account. Current student should also change your Single Password regularly.<\/p><h2>About Password Management<\/h2><p>The password of a Student Account is managed by a\u00a0<strong>Single Password\u00a0<\/strong>service. It provides one-stop password management for password creation, update and synchronization to\u00a0<strong>Single Password enabled\u00a0<\/strong>IT Services including MyHKMU, Email, OLE, eLibrary, Desktop Login, Wi-Fi, etc. When a student changes his\/her password by Single Password Service, the passwords of the mentioned IT Systems will be\u00a0<strong>updated<\/strong><strong>simultaneously<\/strong>.<\/p><h2>Strong Password Policies<\/h2><p>A student is required to abide by the following Strong Password polices:<\/p><ul><li>Single Password must be 8 to 12 of alphanumeric characters, with at least an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number<\/li><li>Student should change password regularly.
