The Library extends a warm welcome to the incoming and returning students to the 2017-2018 academic year! Our library staff members are happy to see you all and look forward to serving your needs. First of all, we will give you some ideas on our resources, facilities and services here.

Searching for Information

Library Homepage

Information about the Library can be found on the Library Homepage. Full text electronic journals, electronic books, databases, past exam papers and so on, aiding your study and research, can be accessed in the E-Library via our Homepage.

Library Collection

You can find most of the collections in Stanley Ho Library. Collections on Arts and Medicine (i.e. Call No. N & R) can be found at Ho Sik Yee Library.

Service

Opening Hours

Our E-Library is always open for you 24/7. The two campus libraries open every day:

Public holidays (Mondays – Fridays)	13:00 – 21:00

The above opening hours are on trial until 28 Feb 2018. You can always check the daily opening hours of the library on our Homepage.

Borrowing

Bring along your student ID card and borrow library materials at Circulation counter or self-check machine.

Return, renew and reserve

You can return borrowed items to Circulation Counter during library opening hours, or put in the Night Book Return box when the library is closed.

You can renew or request items in person at the Circulation counter, or enjoy a more convenient way by logging in to E-Library to use our online services.

We offer library guides and online tutorials showing you tips on finding resources and instruction on using our services anytime, anywhere.

Copying and printing cost HK$0.20(A4)/HK$0.40(A3) per page (black and white only). Pay by Octopus card.

WiFi network

WiFi is accessible anywhere inside the two campus libraries to facilitate you to use our electronic resources and services with your own devices.

Library Orientation

Library Orientation Workshops (2017 Autumn semester)

Join our face-to-face orientation workshops to learn how to find resources in E-library. We will have a guided tour to Stanley Ho Library after each session.

Update of the Library

Welcome back all familiar faces! Perhaps you have already noticed the different look of the E-Library and changes in the Stanley Ho Library. During the summer break, the Library worked hard in order to complete the improvement works before the beginning of the new academic year.

New design of E-Library user interface

The new e-library interface is simple and intuitive. From now on, you can get the information you need more easily and quickly on PC, smart phones or tablets. Click here to see how to search for materials via E-Library.

Rejuvenating Stanley Ho Library

To further improve our facilities and environment, we have installed additional power sockets and replaced old and dysfunctional blinds.
