The Book Loan Service for HKMU Staff in LiPACE and NEO offices allows HKMU staff who are stationing in LiPACE and NEO offices to request library items from the General Collection and arrange the delivery via the Facilities Management Office (FMO).
Interlibrary loan (ILL) items delivery via FMO can also be arranged. Please refer to “Interlibrary loan items delivery” below for details.

1. Who can use this service?
This service is available to HKMU staff who are stationing in LiPACE and NEO offices.
2. What materials can be requested?
The service handles requests for items that are held in the Library General Collection.
3. Do I have to pay for this service?
The service is free of charge.
4. How to submit a request?
5. How long does it take?
For items available on shelf, the Library will retrieve them within 3 days or make reservation for the requestor if they are checked out to other users.
6. How to collect the requested items?
Once the items are located, the Library will arrange the internal mail service with FMO and inform the requestor via email.
7. How to return the items?
8. Will I be informed if the Library receives my returned items if I return them via the internal mail service?
The Library will email the requestor to acknowledge receipt of the returned items and update the borrower's record in the Library System.
When placing your ILL requests online, please mark “Send the item to LiPACE (or NEO) office directly” under the field “Source of Information or Comments” on the online form. The Library will arrange with FMO to send the ILL items to your office when we receive them from source libraries. If you need to return the items, you may return them in person or arrange the internal mail service with FMO.
