Objectives
Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to:
describe and explain the principles of work ethics;
establish positive values and attitudes related to the nursing services;
develop a range of generic skills, including languages and analytical skills in health care context with specialised terminology;
apply health care concepts in common health scenarios and decision-making; and
analyse personal health status by applying fundamental knowledge in nursing studies and essential practical skills.
Programme Features
The programme is taught by professionals from different sectors, including experienced nurses and pharmacists, etc.;
The programme also provides first aid training recognised by the Labour Department of the HKSAR Government, the American Heart Association Basic Life Support training and the Elementary Phlebotomy and Intravenous Cannulation training.
Professional Recognition
Upon completion of “Professional Caring Skills”, students will receive:
“Standard First Aid Certificate” issued by one of the first-aider training providers recognised by the HKSAR Government.
“Certificate of Elementary Phlebotomy and Intravenous Cannulation” issued by Professional Organization
The “American Heart Association BLS Provider Course Completion Card” issued by the American Heart Association.
Applicants are normally required to meet one of the following requirements:
Completion of Secondary 6, with Level 1 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the DSE Examination, or
Other acceptable equivalent qualifications (including non-local qualifications obtained in or outside HK, or other qualifications/experience deemed to be equivalent); or
Mature applicants aged 21 or above.

*Students must pass all professional examinations to order to grant a pass in “Professional Caring Skills”. They must resit the examination(s) of the courses provided by the relevant professional bodies at their own cost if they fail the examination.
