HKMU Creative Arts students participated in the Ink Global exhibition by integrating new multimedia technologies into traditional ink paintings to promote Chinese culture in the past few years. The management of CITIC Pacific was impressed by the creative work of our students and invited them to produce ink painting animations for its CITIC Tower located in Central, injecting an artistic flare to the building and promoting Chinese culture.
Two Year 3 students of the Animation and Visual Effects programme, Jum Nga-man and Ko Suet-yiu, created two ink painting animations for CITIC Pacific. The animation Reflections of the River (影月鏡水) by Jum Nga-man is now exhibited in the lobby of CITIC Tower while The Spring Blossoms (春風花雨) by Ko Suet-yiu will be showcased during the Lunar New Year next year.
