Activity:
The Universal Community Testing Programme

School:
School of Nursing and Health Studies

Details:
To identify as early as possible asymptomatic COVID-19 patients in the community, the Government launched the Universal Community Testing Programme (UCTP) from September 1 to 14 to provide a one-off testing service for members of the public. A total of 275 students, alumni and teachers of the School of Nursing and Health Studies participated in the Programme and performed the specimen collection at community testing centres.

Before the start of the Programme, the School arranged an online training session to all participants. In particular, President Prof. Yuk-Shan Wong showed his support and gave them words of encouragement. He felt proud of their courage and participation.

On the last day of the Programme, Prof. Wong together with Provost Prof. Reggie Kwan Ching-ping and Acting Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Studies Prof. Linda Lee Yin-king visited one of the centres in person and brought the participants fruits as a token of appreciation. They thanked them sincerely for completing a historic task and contributing to Hong Kong.
