In the face of the worsening pandemic situation, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has pooled its resources and expertise to fight COVID-19 for the community.

In February, more than 20 staff volunteers from the HKMU School of Nursing and Health Studies provided support to the frontline workers at the community treatment facility at AsiaWorld-Expo. To safeguard and protect these frontline workers who were required to expose to high infection environment, HKMU healthcare professionals helped conduct the stringent fit test of N95 mask to ensure that these workers were well protected for their work.

In addition, to support the Government's initiatives to address the virus spread, over 200 students, alumni and staff from the School have registered for the COVID-19 testing and vaccination work.

HKMU President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing said that during this extraordinary period, members of the University community have demonstrated their professionalism in different positions to combat the epidemic. Meanwhile, the University is also putting utmost effort to ensure that students receive appropriate support during their home study days. The University will continue to join hands with different sectors of society to overcome the challenges.
