The 7th Academia–Industry Exchange organised by the Institute of International Business and Governance (IIBG) of the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration of Hong Kong Metropolitan University took place on 30 November. The theme of the symposium was “Charting a Sustainable Future Amidst Digital Disruption & Evolving Value Chains.”

The symposium featured two renowned keynote speakers, Prof. Peter Liesch, Professor of International Business from The University of Queensland Business School, and Prof. Daphne Yiu, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship from Singapore Management University. Following the keynote speeches, two panel discussions were conducted.

The first panel discussion brought together representatives from PayMe-HSBC, CLP, and EY, who delved into the topic of how businesses are proactively adapting to the evolving nature of work. In the second panel discussion, experts from the finance, tourism and green manufacturing industries shared valuable insights and discussed the possibilities for a more sustainable future.
