Sixteen HKMU scholars recognised among the world's top 2% most-cited scientists

HKMU actively encourages its faculty members to conduct forward-looking and socially impactful research. The continuous growth in the number of HKMU scholars recognised in the list, reaching 16 this year, reflects the University's ongoing research capabilities and its success in attracting world-class research talent, fostering innovation for the betterment of society.
Among the listed scholars from HKMU, Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing and Prof. Nora Tam Fung-yee ranked in the top 0.5% for both annual impact and career-long impact in their respective research sub-fields. Additionally, Prof. Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Prof. Gary Tse, Dr John Chui Kwok-tai and Prof. Ricky Kwok Yu-kwong each ranked in the top 0.5% for either annual impact or career-long impact in their respective research sub-fields.
The list covers 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields, ranking scholars based on key metrics from Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database, showcasing their academic influence. Further details and the list are available here.
