Bring experiential learning opportunities to students;
Offer pre-incubation process to students and help nurture their entrepreneurship mindset;
Enrich students' work portfolio and understand different industries;
Articulate students' classroom studies to the real working world; and
Provide a flexible project working model to students and employers under the volatile pandemic situation
Real company projects offered by Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP)'s startups & tenants;
Students will be formed in groups according to the project requirements & their study fields, normally 4-5 students each group;
Since the project falls into the 2023 Summer Term study period, students will be required to work in part-time & hybrid mode mainly. The maximum project working hours will be 20 hours per week. However, one or two team meetings with project host per week in physical/ online mode will be recommended to ensure the project goes smoothly. AND;
It is a student experiential learning programme to help students enrich their study & work portfolio and it is NOT an employment programme. Therefore, participatory students and project hosts will not be engaged in an employer-employee relationship.
Be able to collaborate and offer varying perspectives;
Communicate effectively and professionally;
Think out of the box and achieve goals in creative ways;
Equip with practical work skills and work accurately; and
Understand the start-up operation and nurture an entrepreneurship mindset
Students who have completed the project with satisfactory performance will be awarded with a subsidy up to HK$12,000 from the University and a programme certificate. The subsidy level will be considered on a case-by-case basis; and
During the programme period, students will be covered by University Group Personal Accident Insurance Policy as in other student activities. For details, please visit the following webpage:
To better prepare students for the projects, we will provide a series of training & consultation sessions to the project teams to ensure that students will learn how to complete the project step-by-step, the content includes:
