HKMU Bursary Scheme

The HKMU Bursary Scheme aims to provide financial assistance for HKMU full-time local students who encounter financial difficulties. Grant is provided for the needy students whose financial needs are inadequately met by the Government Grants and/or Loans.

Eligibility

Applicants should be local students studying full-time the Sub-Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Programmes;
Applicants must have genuine financial need; and
Applicants should have applied for the Government's financial assistance [i.e. Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP)] in the current academic year.
[Remarks: Special consideration may exercise for some students who are not eligible for FASP (e.g. aged > 30)]

Assessment Criteria and Announcement of Result

Assessment will be made and considered by the HKMU Student Financial Awards Committee. The level of assistance is determined by the applicants' financial circumstances, the funds available and others factors that the Committee considers necessary.
Eligible applicants are not guaranteed to be offered bursaries.
The result and payment arrangement will be announced (via e-mail) by late February 2023.

Applicants should submit the online application together with the supporting proof (if any) via the student portal “MyHKMU” (http://www-uat.hkmu.edu.hk/myhkmu).
Please read the “Guidance Notes” [FBU (2022/23) Guide-e] before completing the online application form.
The application period is from 01 November 2022 (Tuesday) to 18 November 2022 (Friday).
