However, there are some exemptions for specified student interns and work experience students during a period of exempt student employment under the Minimum Wage Ordinance. If you are employed with remunerations below the minimum wage, your employer may ask you\/ the University for a Confirmation of \u201cStudent Interns\u201d or \u201cWork Experience Students\u201d status.<\/h5><h5>For details of the definition and requirements of the exemptions, please refer to the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labour.gov.hk\/eng\/public\/pdf\/smw\/SMW_Notes_for_Students_Employees_and_Employers_eng.pdf\">Statutory Minimum Wage : Notes for Student Employees and Employers<\/a><\/span>\u00a0published by the Labour Department.<\/h5><h5><!--\n\t<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\t--> <!--<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>--><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"wavo-column-gap-default elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-25c5cbe elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"25c5cbe\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-7e7879a\" data-id=\"7e7879a\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3aa85f9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3aa85f9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Confirm your student status for \u201cWork Experience Student\u201d<\/strong><\/h4><h5>If students are required to certify \u201c<strong>Work Experience Students<\/strong>\u201d status (normally for non credit-bearing employment or not a compulsory or elective component of the programme), please follow the steps below for application.<\/h5><h5><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Steps:<\/span><\/em><\/h5><ol><li><h5>Click on <a href=\"https:\/\/hkmu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_1QYHJVgS5dWOncO\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Online Application Form<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and follow the instruction.<\/h5><\/li><li><h5>Fill in your personal information in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labour.gov.hk\/eng\/news\/pdf\/Letter_of_confirmation_work_experience_student.pdf\">Specimen Confirmation of student status for \u201cwork experience student\u201d (Fillable PDF Form)<\/a><\/span>(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.labour.gov.hk\/text_alternative\/pdf\/eng\/Letter_of_confirmation_work_experience_student.pdf\">Text Alternative<\/a><\/span>) (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.labour.gov.hk\/eng\/public\/note.htm\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">PDF<\/span><\/a>) and upload the pdf onto the platform<\/h5><\/li><li><h5>Upload employment proof onto the platform (such as Offer letter\/ Confirmation email), which should include<\/h5><ul><li><h5>Company Name;<\/h5><\/li><li><h5>Job Position Offered; and<\/h5><\/li><li><h5>Employment Period (with Start Date and End Date)<\/h5><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol><h5>The application will be reviewed within 7 working days.
