Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computing and Networking Pathway 1 (BSCHCN1)<\/span><\/h3>

Distance Learning Mode<\/span>\u00a0Part-time<\/span>\u00a0Credit Exemption<\/span><\/p>

This programme is designed for holders of a recognized local Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing to receive 80 credits of exemption towards the BSCHCN\/BSCCN degrees.<\/p>

Admission Requirement<\/div>

A recognized local Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing or a closely related area, in addition to general university’s requirements.<\/p>

Students with qualifications not listed above should consult the Computing Programme Team for other possibilities.<\/p>

How to Apply?<\/div>
  1. Contact the Computing Programme Team for an assessment of your qualification (or view the list in the previous section)<\/li>
  2. Select suitable courses offered in the coming semester.
    1. Register these courses using\u00a0Online Application<\/a>.<\/li>
    2. Indicate the “intended programme” to be BSCCN1 or BSCHCN1.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>
      Programme Structure:<\/div>

      Bachelor of Science in Computing and Networking Pathway 1 (BSCCN1)<\/u><\/p>

      Complete at least 40 credits as follows:<\/p>

      • (a) Obtain 20 credits from courses labelled CD of which at least 10 credits must be at Higher level.<\/li>
      • (b) Obtain 10 credits from courses labelled D1.<\/li>
      • (c) Obtain 10 Higher level credits from courses labelled D2. #<\/li><\/ul>

        Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computing and Networking Pathway 1 (BSCHCN1)<\/u><\/p>

        Complete at least 80 credits as follows:<\/p>

        • (a) Obtain 40 credits from Higher level courses labelled CH.<\/li>
        • (b) Obtain 10 credits from COMP S411, COMPS491 or COMP S450.<\/li>
        • (c) Obtain 30 other credits from courses labelled ED or middle level courses labelled CH.<\/li><\/ul>

          #Higher level courses have course code started with 3 or 4 (e.g. 3XX or 4XX courses)<\/p>
