 Course Enrolment for the 2026 Spring Term – Online Course Selection (Undergraduate) 01-DEC-25

 

The 2026 Spring Term will start on 12 January 2026. You are required to complete the course enrolment process for this term via MyHKMU (Programme > Classes & Enrolment > Enrolment - UG) according to the guidelines below.

 

Students are required to review the Advice on Course Selection HERE before completing course enrolment.  

 

 

The course enrolment categories:

  1. Pre-assigned courses

These are courses automatically enrolled by the University for students, including:

  • Courses pre-assigned by the student’s School.
  • Approved course re-take (applications submitted in November 2025) for the current term.
  1. General Education (GE) course(s) and/or Elective course(s)

Students must enrol in these courses directly via MyHKMU.  The required number of credits for GE and/or Elective courses is specified in the Advice on Course Selection HERE. Only students who need to take GE and/or Elective course(s) in the Term as indicated in the Advice Sheet will be allowed to perform self-enrolment and add/swap on MyHKMU during the self-enrolment period and add/drop period.

Note:  For better academic planning, we encourage you to refer to your Advice on Course Selection (Advice Sheet) HERE when choosing GE and elective courses. This will help ensure you meet your programme requirements smoothly!

  1. Other courses*

These include courses NOT listed in the Advice Sheet, such as retake courses (if not applied for in November).

  1. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course

This mandatory 12-hour course, accredited by the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, is compulsory for all full-time undergraduate students admitted via Year 1 entry in or after the 2025/26 academic year.  Students who fail to complete this course will not meet the programme requirements for graduation. Enrolment must be completed directly on MyHKMU during the self-enrolment period or add/drop period.

 

* Students interested in the course CHIN A206CF / CHIN 2007ACF Practical Cantonese in Daily Life or CHIN 2008ACF Practical Advanced Cantonese, designed for students who wish to learn Cantonese for leisure purposes, should submit application via Qualtrics (Single Sign-on required) between 5 January 2026 (10:00 a.m.) to 23 January 2026 (5:00 p.m.), the course enrolment will be processing on a rolling-basis after the application period closes. Please note that extra tuition fees of two credits will be charged for each of these courses. For more details, please refer to the A&SS webpage (CHIN A206CF/CHIN 2007ACF or CHIN 2008ACF).

  • Drop enrolled courses

All students: 12 January 10:00 a.m. to 23 January 5:00 p.m.

 

Function available on MyHKMU,

  • ‘Application for Add/Drop’: Use this to submit application for approval
  • Students must continue attending classes until approval is given by the University or until the course is removed from their ‘Academic Record’ and ‘Class Schedule’ on MyHKMU.
  • Students should regularly check their application results under ‘Academic Record’ and ‘Class Schedule’ on MyHKMU to avoid missing classes.
  • Any discrepancies must be reported to the Enrolment Team (Undergraduate) by email.

After Course Add/Drop Period

  • Students should check their final enrolment records under ‘Academic Record’ and ‘Class Schedule’ on MyHKMU and make sure the records are accurate.

Notes on Enrolment

  • Class Schedule for all courses for viewing all class schedule. Please note that classes are held from Monday to Saturday, and the schedule may be subject to adjustments.
  • General Requirements of Undergraduate and Sub-degree Programmes (5-credit system) / (3-credit-unit system) for viewing the University’s general requirements for undergraduate and sub-degree programmes. Please pay attention to the maximum credit limit allowed at Foundation level (5-credit system) / at 1000-level (3-credit-unit system) and the maximum credit loading for each academic term/year.
  • Online Learning Environment (OLE) is an online portal where online learning takes place. You should regularly login for the updated course information and announcement.
