Students should complete the required number of GE courses, each from a different ‘field of study’ other than the same ‘field(s) of study’ of their study programmes.<\/p>

Year 1 Entry students are generally required to complete four 5-credit (20 credits) GE courses. Year 2 Entry students are generally required to complete two 5-credit (10 credits) GE courses.<\/p>

Year 1 Entry students are normally required to complete two 5-credits (i.e. 10 credits) English Language Enhancement courses, which may be counted towards as outside discipline courses for certain programmes.<\/p>

To nurture students with the four University's core values, namely integrity, fairness, perseverance, and innovation<\/strong>, undergraduate students shall be required to complete four non-credit bearing web-based modules before graduation, one on each of the four core values. This requirement is applicable to Year 1 Entry students admitted in the 2021\/22 academic year and thereafter, Year 2 Entry students admitted in the 2022\/23 academic year and thereafter, and Year 3 Entry students admitted in the 2023\/24 academic year and thereafter.<\/p>

Foundation level courses are entry-level courses. Normally, they have no mandatory\/advisory prerequisites. The first numeric digit of the course code of Foundation level courses is ‘1’, e.g. GEN A1<\/u>01BF.<\/p>

Generally, Year 1 Entry students shall complete no more than 40 credits at Foundation level, Year 2 Entry students shall complete no more than 20 credits at Foundation level.<\/p>

If you earned more Foundation level credits than that is allowed, some of these Foundation level credits will not be counted towards graduation requirements. You would then be required to enroll for courses at higher levels (Middle level and Higher level with first numeric digits ‘2' \/ ‘3’ \/ ‘4’) as replacement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Each programme normally has a primary language of instruction, except bilingual or specially approved programmes.
