Volunteering in humanitarian relief operations An extraordinary operating theatre nurse Brian Wong Kit was among the first to graduate from the full-time nursing programme of the OUHK. Being an operating theatre nurse for years, he has visited Bangladesh twice to serve as a nurse volunteer. Recalling the unforgettable experiences in the field hospital, Brian has much to share.

Recaps

During the Open Days 2019, the Alumni Café in old Hong Kong style popped up on the campus on 21 September. This nostalgic mini carnival attracted over 300 participants.

The Open Days of the OUHK were held from 20 – 21 September to showcase the University's achievements in the past 30 years. A diversity of activities were arranged by the Schools and administrative units to inform and entertain visitors.

The Chinese Medicinal Nursing Association of the OUHK (Alumni) also organized several talks and activities during the Open Days, introducing body constitution from the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine and suboptimal health, as well as demonstrating remedial exercise Baduanjin qigong and acupressure to ease constipation.

On 28 September, the MBA Association of the OUHK held its Annual General Meeting cum annual dinner party. Dr David Ko, former part-time tutor at the OUHK, gave a talk on 'A Consulting Case: How to Operate Red Wine Business in Mainland China'.

Another Annual General Meeting cum dinner took place on 27 September by the Chinese Medicinal Nursing Association of the OUHK (Alumni). The Association will continue to promote Chinese Medicinal nursing by organizing related talks and an overseas tour to Japan in the coming year.
