Going on a start-up journey with a newly invented USB wall outlet You may have used USB wall outlets at the Hong Kong International Airport and certain hotels, but you may not know that they were invented by an OUHK alumnus. Inspired by a business trip experience, veteran accountant Alfred Ng invented the impressive product which led him to his start-up journey.

Recaps

The Public and Social Policy Research Centre (PSPRC) of the OUHK has recently conducted a research to construct the ‘OUHK HOS (Home Ownership Scheme) Price Index’, which aims to provide an indicative reference for the price trends of the housing market. The research findings were announced on 6 October.

On 14 October, the Department of Creative Arts and OUHK Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture co-organized an online talk and invited Mr Benny Li, renowned multi-disciplinary artist, to share how contemporary art is reflected in our everyday life.

The University achieved outstanding results in the latest round of the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector of the Research Grants Council (RGC). More than HK$15 million of research funding for 17 projects has been received, which is the highest among all eligible self-financing institutions.
