Details:
Chan Long Ting, a Year 4 student of the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Chinese programme, won the 1st runner-up in the tertiary education group in an essay writing competition organized by the Department of Chinese of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. With a daily life topic and her outstanding writing skill, Chan's work was appreciated by the panel of judges and stood out from other competitors.
The annual essay competition has been organized since 2018. It aims to enhance the interest of local secondary and tertiary students in Chinese writing, and to promote appreciation of Chinese literature and publication of youth literature.
