A total of 941 HKMU full-time students were honoured in the HKSAR Government’s Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) in this academic year and the total amount of scholarships and awards reached a record high at nearly HK$16.7 million. HKMU students were honoured in all the five award categories under the Scheme, including 231 students receiving the Outstanding Performance Scholarship; 64 receiving the Best Progress Award; 146 receiving the Talent Development Scholarship; 455 receiving the Reaching Out Award; and 45 receiving the Endeavour Scholarship, among them five representatives attended the award presentation ceremony on 25 April.

The SPSS was established by the HKSAR Government in 2011 to offer scholarships and awards to students pursuing full-time self-financing sub-degree or undergraduate programmes at local self-financing tertiary institutions, with the aim to promote the quality and sustainable development of the self-financing post-secondary education sector.
