Poetry by Master's student in creative writing gains recognition in national inter-collegiate competition

Details:
A poetry series, Travel, by Master of Arts in Creative Writing student Fu Wei won a Third Class Award in the Poetry category of a prestigious national inter-collegiate literary competition. Running for the tenth year, the Weeds Literary Prize has a judging panel formed by renowned poets, writers and critics, and attracted participants from 828 tertiary institutions this year. Wei's winning work portrays the sensation of drifting about through a series of travel accounts, trying to achieve a unique writing style that combines simple diction and complex elements.

Separately, Wei recently has seven poems, including “Shark Toy,” published in the bimonthly poetry magazine Shi Lin (詩林), issue 6 of 2023.
