The Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) website's digital accessibility design helps people with a disability access online information and services without barriers. It was recognised with the Triple Gold Award in the Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2024–2025. The Triple Gold Award is presented to organisations that have received the Gold Award for three consecutive years.

The Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme is organised by Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited. The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer is the co-organiser and the Equal Opportunities Commission is the independent advisor. The Scheme aims to show appreciation to local enterprises and organisations that have made their websites and mobile apps accessible to everyone, particularly persons with disabilities, to enable them to fully enjoy the conveniences of the digital world. The Elderly-friendly Award was introduced this year to enhance understanding among various industries of the needs of the elderly when using electronic services and conducting various types of online activities.
