雖然在兩年的課程裏，網課佔據了很大的一部分；但也算是一個嶄新的體驗。很感激導師們的教導和幫助，令我學習了許多有趣的知識。當中更有多元化的講座及實地考察，除了可以實踐所學，亦能夠應用到生活及工作之中。

我在兩年的課程中，透過多元化的學習資源，學習到旅遊及主題公園的管理及營運方法和理論並，在不同的課業中運用理論。在老師悉心的教導下，增加了不少旅遊及主題樂園的知識，並改善了自己的不足，提升了自信心。

Objectives

Upon completion of the programme, participants should be able to :

• Explain the workings of an amusement park, encompassing all elements such as transport, hotels, themed areas, rides, shops, dining, entertainment (shows and celebrations), events, etc.;
• Perform practical skills relating to various departments of amusement park operations such as: marketing and ticketing, tour guides, retail services, guest services, etc.;
• Solve day-to-day problems at supervisory level under the direction of departmental line managers; and
• Analyse the business model of an amusement park and the contributions made by different revenue generating sources such as admissions, room stay, F&B, retail sales and income from events as well as the major cost items.

Entry Requirement

Applicants are normally required to have either one of the following qualifications:  

• Level 2 in 5 HKDSE subjects (including English and Chinese)^; or

• Grade E in 1 HKALE A-Level (or an equivalent number of AS) subject(s); and
  (i) 5 passes in HKCEE including English and Chinese*; or
  (ii) 3 passes in HKCEE plus level 2 or above in English and Chinese*; or

• Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Associate Degree, Diploma or an equivalent programme (at QF level 3);

• Satisfactory completion of  Diploma Yi Jin ; or

• Other acceptable equivalent qualifications (including non-local qualifications obtained in or outside HK, or other qualifications / experience deemed to be equivalent); or

• Mature applicants who are 21 years of age or above with a minimum of 3 years' working experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

^Applicants possessing an “Attained”, "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject are regarded as equivalent to HKDSE subject at “Level 2”, “Level 3” and “Level 4” respectively, with a maximum of two ApL subjects can be counted for admission purpose.

* A pass in a quality-assured Applied Learning (ApL) subject is deemed to be a pass in one HKCEE subject. (Except Chinese Language and English Language)

[1] Students who have attained Level 3 or above in DSE English Language can be exempted from taking English for Communication I.
[2] Non-Chinese speaking students can be exempted from taking Effective Chinese Communication Skills. To fulfill the overall credit for graduation, they are required to take a GE course as replacement.

^ Course includes not less than 400 practicum hours.

Graduates are eligible to apply for:

• Year 3 of Bachelor of International Hospitality and Attractions Management with Honours awarded by Hong Kong Metropolitan University *

• Year 3 of Bachelor of Science with Honours in Tourism & Events Management offered by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

• Year 3 of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Hotel Operations Management offered by Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong

• Year 3 of Bachelor of Arts with Honours in International Hospitality and Tourism Management (1 year full-time) delivered by University College Birmingham and awarded by the University of Warwick, UK

Graduates may be admitted with advanced standing to a Japanese university that has MOU arrangement with LiPACE:

• Year 3, Undergraduate Program in Human and Social Studies (International Tourism) , Nagasaki International University

*Upon completion of the HKMU full-time Degree programmes, students may progress to the university's  1 year full-time Master's Degree in Business Programme.

As part of their training, students will be placed in different theme parks and some other resorts in Hong Kong for internship. Those who have excelled in the internship may be offered a full-time position by internship providers.
